Who is responsible for your data

InBest (inbest.vip) is operated by José Ricardo Grisales Zuluaga, a natural person domiciled in Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia. Address: Calle 46D Sur #39-51, Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia. Phone: +57 310 890 1567. E-mail: soporte@inbest.vip.

This policy explains how InBest collects, uses and protects personal data, in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 (compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015).

Data we collect

Account: first and last name, e-mail address, date of birth (to confirm you are an adult), country of residence and, if you choose to add it, a phone number. Your password is never stored as typed: only a one-way encrypted fingerprint (hash).

What you record: income and expenses (amounts, dates, categories and descriptions), your portfolio (trades, holdings, deposits, brokers, commissions and prices), your learning progress and your currency preference.

Technical: the IP address and time of your requests and the session cookie, used for security and to limit abuse.

InBest does not collect sensitive data, card numbers or bank details, and does not connect to your bank or broker.

What we use it for

To create and manage your account and confirm your e-mail address.

To provide the service: your dashboard, portfolio, calculators and learning progress.

To send service e-mails: verification codes, password resets and notices about your account. InBest does not send advertising.

To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

To meet legal obligations.

InBest does not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Your consent

When you create your account and accept this policy, you authorize the processing of your data for the purposes above. You can withdraw that authorization at any time by deleting your account or writing to soporte@inbest.vip.

Service providers and international transfer

Spaceship, Inc. hosts the servers (located in the United States) and the e-mail service (Spacemail) that sends your codes. Because the servers are outside Colombia, your data is transferred to the United States; by accepting this policy you authorize it.

Yahoo Finance and Finnhub provide market prices. They only receive ticker symbols, never your personal data.

Exchange rates are loaded by your browser from open.er-api.com, which, like any website, receives your IP address.

The assistant runs inside your browser and does not send your questions to third parties.

Cookies and storage on your device

InBest uses one session cookie to keep you signed in (it cannot be read by page scripts and lasts up to 30 days) and a preference cookie for the sidebar. Your browser also stores preferences such as language, currency, theme and the guided tour. InBest uses no advertising trackers and no behavioral analytics.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is erased from the service immediately. Daily security backups may keep a copy for up to 14 days, after which it disappears. Records of sent e-mails are kept for 2 days, and technical server logs for a limited time.

Your rights

As the owner of your data you have the right to:

Know, update and correct your personal data.

Ask for proof of the authorization you gave.

Be told how your data is used.

File complaints with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC).

Withdraw your authorization and ask for your data to be deleted.

Access your data free of charge.

How to exercise them

Inside InBest you can download your history as CSV, delete individual records and delete your whole account from the Account page. For anything else, write to soporte@inbest.vip from the e-mail address of your account. Queries are answered within 10 business days (extendable by 5) and claims within 15 business days (extendable by 8), as the law provides.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as hashes, each account can only see its own records, and access to the server is restricted. No system is infallible: if an incident affects your data, you will be informed as the law requires.

Minors

InBest is only for people aged 18 or over. Accounts with a date of birth under 18 are not accepted.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the new version will be published here with its date, and you will be notified by e-mail when the change affects how your data is used. This version applies from October 4, 2026.
